how to query the start date of student, entered in periods tab ?

Don't understand exactly what you are querying. Student that are here now? Student that have a start date between two dates? Student that are attending anytime between two dates?

You would need to use the generic tab. Standard queries by period are for students that are attending anytime between two dates.

in generic i have only start date entered in childrens info in top, not period stard date
