Why doesnt come up the correct age according to the date of birth ?

We have a student that his birthday is 01/24/15 and it comes up on the age 2.8 and its really 2.7

Why is this happening ?

The date gets calculated by the month, not the indviduale date. and basiclly returning the students age "on the last day of the current month" so therefore any birthday in jan would be ?.8 in sep, any birthday in Mar would be ?.2 in May etc.

It was based on calculating the amount of months while ignoring the exact day. So someone born anytime in Jan it would put 0.1 starting Feb 1.

But for exact accuracy we have now updated it should look on the day too.
