MMS and Chat for our SMS System

Question

We’ve added two new features to our SMS Portal:

• The ability to send MMS messages directly from the portal
• The ability to view your messages with a chat-style view to see individual message conversations

MMS messages are billed at the equivalent of 3 SMS credits. If you are sending a long SMS message that exceeds three segments, you will have the option to convert it to an MMS, which may be more cost-effective.

We are also currently working on implementing MMS functionality directly within the main software, allowing MMS messages to be sent from there as well.

Can the chat-style view be used for full text conversations on the portal?

Yes, I did.

When I click on a phone number on the left side, is it showing all text messages that I would see in the correspondence tab?

Also, If someone replies to a text sent from our system, will the message appear here under that phone number?

Yes, it shows a history of anything sent using our SMS/MMS integration.

Is there any way to get an email notification if someone replies to a text message?

When replying to a text message, can the person's name be in the "to" box instead of just a phone number? Now, every time I get a text I need to search the person's phone number in JL to see who it's from

yes, until now we had that you were able to get emails and see replies by https://sms.jlssolutions.com/Default.aspx and click on  Received SMS, we now added Chat feature which lets you see the conversational history by contact.

Reply email goes to email on file which was used during sms/voice account setup.

Regarding getting the persons name, currently this is available for as an add-on that connects the system with JLS, and the name is visible by the chat next to the number. Contact sales for detail and pricing.
