Check scanning to pay pledges etc.

Question

I read, with interest, the inquiries regarding check scanners.  We are using a Digital Check TS240 to make bank deposits.

I am wondering if it would be possible to use it to scan checks into Fundraising and then be able to enter the ones that match existing Donors into the proper Campaign and if there is an outstanding Pledge to be prompted to pay that.  On a new name it would prompt the user to either match it to an existing donor or to Create New Account.  It would then continue on to Create Deposit.
